A Strong Fire is an Oneida Language and Culture game, made in collaboration with Oneida artists and speakers from Oneida Nation of Wisconsin. The interactive narrative shares a version of the Sky Woman story and can be played in either mixed English/Oneida or fully in Oneida. Following the interactive narrative are two minigames, a Match 3 game and a Memory game, meant to reinforce the vocabulary introduced in the story.
Dr. Wendi Sierra (Oneida Nation of Wisconsin) is an Assistant Professor at Texas Christian University. Her work involves both scholarly publications on games, learning, and representation, and game design/production.
