Giving Up The Ghost
Tony, a quiet history teacher, and Margaret, a kuia poltergeist, have been sharing a run-down whare on the ‘bad’ side of town. One stormy night Tony invites Mei Ling home, in the process, breaking the rules of an agreement he made to help Margaret seek revenge on a devilish landlord from the past. Concerned about where Tony’s loyalties lie, Margaret draws on her meagre poltergeist skills to cast a mākutu which (fortunately for her) forces Tony to go through with his end of the bargain.
