A gripping film inspired by the story of the real life Paddy Jadai, who is Co-Director Curtis Taylor’s grandfather, Jadai: The Broome Brawler is a story that takes a fresh look at police brutality and Australian Indigenous incarceration. Jadai, despite being wrongfully arrested and mistreated in prison, finds the will to rise above the brutality and prejudice to earn the respect of his town.

Curtis Taylor is a Martu (Australian Aboriginal) artist currently based in Perth. Over the past decade, Taylor has developed a distinct practice that spans sculptural installation, painting, and filmmaking.
