This story tells of Crawford seeing a sabawealnu, Eela, one day while checking his fishing nets. It uncovers the importance of intergenerational knowledge transmission and what could happen if we forget to tell our stories.
Jennifer Murrin is a queer, mixed Mi’kmaw/Settler multi-disciplinary artist from Bay Of Islands, Newfoundland, residing in Toronto. Murrin is a two-time national poetry slam champion and member of Seeds & Stardust Poetry Collective.
