Tsi tkahéhtayen (The Garden)

A mystical gardener harvests fruits from the earth that defy everyone's expectations. Zoe Leigh Hopkins (Heiltsuk/Mohawk) began her career as an actor. She graduated in 1997 from Toronto Metropolitan University with a BAA in Film. Zoe was Senior Producer on the youth documentary series Venturing Forth and a Fellow at the Sundance Institute's January 2004 Screenwriters Lab with her feature script, Cherry Blossoms. In 2003, her short script One-Eyed Dogs Are Free was a semifinalist in the CBC/BC Film Signature Shorts Competition. It was nominated for Best Short at the American Indian Film Festival and received an Honourable Mention at the 2006 imagineNATIVE Film + Media Arts Festival. Her short film Prayer for a Good Day had its world premiere at the 2004 Sundance Film Festival.
