The Innu families of Pessamit led a nomadic life between the coast and their ancestral territories. The hydroelectric dams built since 1950 have submerged their legacy. Jean Luc Kanapé meets the last nomads whose memories of the land persist.
Jean Luc Kanapé is Innu from Pessamit where his ancestors walked the land. He works full-time as a Land Guardian, while offering educational workshops to young people from his community. Sous les barrages (Under the Dams): Tshishe Manikuan is his first work as a director.
