Winnipeg filmmaker and member of York Factory First Nation, Charlene Raven Moore is an award winning writer, director, producer living in Treaty One Territory. As a queer Cree, Saulteaux, and Welsh woman, Charlene creates films that focus on identity, connection, and resilience. She is a proud member of the Winnipeg Indigenous Filmmakers collective and is passionate about narrative sovereignty.
Charlene has written, directed, and produced several short films that have been nationally broadcasted and internationally played at film festivals.
Her latest short 16mm double exposed film CONFLUENCE (co-directed by ODMK) is her cinematographer debut, it won the Kent Monkman award for Innovative Storytelling at the 2025 imagineNATIVE FILM + Media Arts Festival. She also recently co-directed GRADUATION DAY (co-directed by Tasha Hubbard) a short documentary on CBC Gem, and co-produced LEVERS (directed by Rhayne Vermette) a 16mm feature film which premiered at TIFF 2025.
