Kaniehtiio Horn

Kaniehtiio Horn is a Mohawk actress, writer, director, producer, and podcaster from the Kahnawáke reserve outside of Montreal. She stars in Sterlin Harjo’s FX series, The Lowdown, opposite Ethan Hawke, which is currently in production on its second season. She starred in the Lionsgate feature, Alice, Darling, opposite Anna Kendrick, which premiered to rave reviews at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). Kaniehtiio starred as the baddie in the Peacock series, Rutherford Falls, created by Ed Helms and Sierra Teller Ornelas, opposite Helms. She appeared in the scene stealing role of Deer Lady in the critically acclaimed FX/Hulu series, Reservation Dogs. Kaniehtiio will soon star in the independent feature, The Marshal, opposite Guy Pearce.

Kaniehtiio wrote, directed, produced, and starred in Seeds, which premiered in the Discovery Programme at TIFF to rave reviews. Seeds follows Ziggy (Horn), who is offered her first gig as an online influencer, promoting Nature’s Oath, a seed and fertilizer company. When her cousin summons her back to the rez, she is forced into a battle to save her people’s legacy, finding her power along the way. Kaniehtiio continues to receive rave reviews for her directing and performance.

Kaniehtiio starred in the Fox 21/Nat Geo series, Barkskins, created by Elwood Reid and opposite David Thewlis. She was a fan favourite in the critically acclaimed Hulu comedy series, Letterkenny, for which she was awarded the 2022 Canadian Screen Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. Kaniehtiio also serves as a producer on Shoresy, the spinoff of Letterkenny. She voices a starring role in the Fox animated series, Grimsburg, opposite Jon Hamm, and has an extensive voiceover and audiobook resume.
