Amanda Strong is an Emmy- and Canadian Screen Award-nominated Red River Métis (Manitoba Métis Federation) director, producer, and stop-motion storyteller. She is the founder of Vancouver-based Spotted Fawn Productions Inc., an animation studio dedicated to Indigenous screen sovereignty. Strong created the studio to merge her artistic practice with a vision of bringing stories to life through community-centred filmmaking.

Her work weaves directing and producing with a focus on mentorship, collaboration, and cultural continuity. Spotted Fawn’s award-winning films have screened and exhibited internationally at Sundance, Cannes, TIFF (including the TIFF Top Ten), VIFF, OIAF, the Museum of Anthropology, the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, and the National Museum of American History.

Strong is currently developing her first animated feature film.
