Radio-JusSunná/Sunná Nousuniemi is a queer Sámi and Finnish audiovisual artist and storyteller, born in 1993 and raised in Anár, Sápmi. By using film, discussion, sound, and installation art as their tools, Radio-JusSunná seeks different ways of participating in building more livable communities through artistic expressions. Their artistic path emerged when they grabbed their father’s video camera in the early 2000s and began documenting their daily life in Anár with their three best friends. In 2014, they fell in love with Sámi cinema when they started working at the Skábmagovat Indigenous Peoples’ Film Festival. From this background in film festival work, they eventually shifted into filmmaking; they have created award-winning short films such as gáidat/máhccat (dissociate), Boso mu ruovttoluotta — Breathe me back to life and ÁHKUIN. In addition, they are a member of the Pathfinder working group, which consists of Sámi film experts. In 2025, they became the Artistic Director of Skábmagovat.
